In the seven years of conducting late-term abortions at his former facility in Germantown, Maryland, at least ten women were rushed to hospital emergency rooms by ambulance suffering from life-threatening complications as a result of the risky abortion procedures he performed on them. Twenty-nine year old Jennifer Morbelli died from complications in 2013 following the abortion procedure in Carhart's office of her 33-week gestation baby girl, Madison.
